Untitled Fisher Game

In Untitled Fisher, players control the fisherman on the boat where they are trying to catch as much fish as possible. However, cars passing by are throwing trash into the lake so you are also tasked with cleaning the lake to meet the fish quota before time runs out.

- Story -

As you are playing the game you will notice that more and more trash piles up in the lake, making it incredibly difficult to juggle between catching fish and cleaning up the trash. You also start to notice the environment change from healthy flora to unhealthy flora to industrialization (buildings). This portrays the delicate and complex topic that is balancing environmental sustainability in a world focused on urbanization. We specifically wanted to tell our story through a fisherman because fishery systems are one of the major challenges we are still trying to tackle in terms of sustainability (Sammie, 2023). As much as we wanted to create a more positive game, we did not want to accidentally teach our players that attaining environmental sustainability is easy, because the reality is that it is not. However, we wanted to bring awareness to these issues and instill some ownership to our players in hopes that it will motivate them towards more environmentally conscious choices.
